Misato Town in Shimane Prefecture is a small town with a population of 4600 in Western Japan. This is a rebranding project to not only revitalise an ageing town through attracting tourists, but to highlight the essence and charm that is unique to Misato and reintroduce them to the residence as well as the world. Partnered with Tokyo based agency Shiftbrain, the project started with a request to create illustrations for Misato's new richly interactive portal website, and crossed over to various virtual and physical platforms, from custom Line app icons to town office stationery to signage throughout Misato Town.
